Nicola Lazzari – New Sculpture – ‘Visible Ghosts of the Soul’

We are delighted to present this exhibition of new bronze sculpture by Nicola Lazzari. Lazzari’s sculptures give the viewer insights into the artist’s thoughtfulness on nature, science, the arts, mythology and history. There is also a playful twist present in his work, which can sometimes be dream-like and often presents us with intriguing narratives. He uses bronze in a delicate manner, creating lightness and a beautiful balance in his compositions.
On his new collection of sculptures which the artist has called ‘Visible ghosts of the soul’, Lazzari writes, “I think of the ephemeral, and of lightness, as something that often conceals deep and manifold meanings. The joy of childhood stumbles upon the uncertainty of old age, while, with wax between my fingers, my hands shape future thoughts that I struggle to express.”
