2017, Masterpiece

Our stand at this year’s Masterpiece will recreate displays from two recent museum shows on which we have collaborated.

‘Degas and the Dancers: Bodies in Motion’ at the Yun Arts Center in Shanghai included a collection of sculptures relating to dance and movement loaned by the Sladmore. The exhibition was curated by Jon Whiteley, emeritus curator from the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Exhibition link  here

‘The Art of Bugatti’ at the Petersen Museum, Los Angeles included a number of sculptures curated by the Sladmore, loaned by private clients, and from our own stock. These were displayed alongside a wonderful selection of furniture and cars. A highlight of the exhibition is Rembrandt’s pièce unique ‘Family of Goudou Antelopes, Mère Blessée’ which dates from 1911. As ever, our sister gallery Sladmore Contemporary will share our stand and showcase a selection of their finest contemporary artists, including Nic Fiddian-Green and Mario Dilitz.
