Walking Tiger, c. 1940

Thierry Van Ryswyck | Belgian, 1911 - 1958

A fine quality, rare, twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Walking Tiger’ by Theirry Van Ryswyck (Belgian, 1911 – 1958). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Susse Freres Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed stamped in the wax: ‘Th Van Ryswyck’, ‘Susse Fres Edts Paris’ and ‘BRONZE’ and has a dark brown patina with reddy brown undertones.
