A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a soldier entitled ‘The Avenger’ by Ernst Barlach, (German, 1870-1938). This bronze was produced in Germany by the Noack foundry, Berlin. It is signed ‘E. Barlach’ and has a warm brown patina.
