Aimé Jules Dalou | French, 1838-1902
A good quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Stone Breaker’ by Jules Dalou (French, 1838 – 1902). This bronze was produced using the lost wax casting process at the Susse foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed, inscribed and stamped in the wax. This cast has a medium brown patina with lighter brown highlights.
