Standing Panther, c. 1940
A twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Standing Panther’ by Charles Delhommeau (French,1883-1970). This bronze was cast by the sand cast process at the Barbedienne foundry, Paris. It is signed ‘C. Delhommeau’, and inscribed by the foundry ‘F. Barbedienne. Fondeur. Paris’ ‘BRONZE’ and has a green patina with reddy brown undertones.
