Francois Pompon | French, 1855-1933

A rare, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Mole’ by Francois Pompon, French (1855-1933). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani Foundry in Paris. Before casting, it was signed and stamped in the wax ‘Pompon, C. Valsuani Cire Perdue’. This cast has a rich dark brown patina with reddy brown undertones.
