A good quality, rare, early twentieth century bronze model of a head of a panther entitled ‘Bagheera’ by Gaston Le Bourgeois (French, 1880-1956). This sculpture was cast from a wood carving by the lost wax process in France. Prior to casting it was inscribed with the artist’s monogram. It has a dark brown patina with lighter brown undertones.
