Edouard-Marcel Sandoz | Swiss, 1880-1971
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a fish entitled ‘Poissin voile’ by Edouard-Marcel Sandoz (Swiss, 1880-1971). This bronze was cast using the lost wax process at the Claude Valsuani foundry, Paris. Prior to casting it was signed and inscribed in the wax ‘E. M. Sandoz’ and ‘C Valsuani Cire Perdue’. It has a rich dark brown patina with parcel gilding.
