Gaston Le Bourgeois

A good quality, rare, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Small Bird Perched on a Post’ by Gaston Le Bourgeois (French,1885-1953). This sculpture was cast in bronze by the lost wax process. Prior to casting it was inscribed with the artist’s monogram incorporating the edition numbers. It has a dark brown patina with red and green undertones.
