Shubunkin Fish, c. 1922
A fine quality, early twentieth century bronze model of a ‘Shubunkin Fish’ by Albéric Collin (Belgian, 1886 – 1962). This sculpture was cast in bronze using the lost wax process by the Claude Valsuani Foundry, Paris. Before casting it was signed, dated and stamped in the wax. It has a reddy brown patina with golden undertones.
